Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel joined the Board of Directors in 2017. She and her family farm near Mossbank, Sask. She represents the province’s agricultural community across the country and around the world in a number of roles.
Ms. Jolly-Nagel has served on the Board of the Western Canadian Wheat Growers Association since 2004, including a five-year term as president. She has traveled the world representing the Wheat Growers, including participating in the World Trade Organizations Ministerial Meetings in Hong Kong. She has recently been appointed to sit as an International Director on the board for the Global Farmer Network.
She is currently working with Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan to facilitate training sessions for other farmers on the topic of sharing a positive message about the sustainable food grow in her home province and across the country.
Ms. Jolly-Nagel has also served on the Agriculture Development Fund through the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, as Chair of the Sask Agri Value Initiative, was a member of the Saskatchewan Transportation Company Board of Directors and was the first Rural Economic Development Officer for the town of Mossbank.
In 2011, Ms. Jolly-Nagel was featured in SaskBusiness Magazine as one of Saskatchewan’s Most Influential Women. In 2012, she was awarded the Agricultural IMPACT award at the Grow Canada Conference for her efforts and passion for making positive changes in the agriculture sector. In 2014, she was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. This past summer, she was also chosen by the Mattel toy company to participate in the Barbie Mentorship program.
Ms. Jolly-Nagel holds a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing from Medicine Hat College, and a Diploma in Agriculture Business (Finance Major) from Olds College.
She is a recent graduate of the Directors Education Program through the Institute of Corporate Directors.
