Facts about the Coteau Creek Hydroelectric Station

  • Located on the South Saskatchewan River.
  • There are 3 units in total at this station. They produce 62 MW each.
  • There was a need for water supplies to support irrigation and recreation in the province. We built this station to support those homes, farms and industries.
  • The Coteau Creek Station draws water from the Gardiner Dam. It’s located about 1 kilometre upstream.
