Quotables:

  • It’s not unusual for a strike vote to occur during the bargaining process.
  • SaskPower will redeploy management employees to maintain core services to our customers.
  • Signing up for an online account will help reduce the impact of labour action.

As you've heard in the news, our Unifor employees recently took part in a strike vote. They voted in favour of a strike mandate.

It isn't unusual for a strike vote to happen during the bargaining process. And we remain committed to the collective bargaining process.

In the event of a strike, we plan to redeploy management employees where needed. We're doing this to maintain core services to our customers.

If you haven't already done so, sign-up today for an online account. With an online account you can:

  • View your current and past bills
  • Send us your monthly meter readings
  • Pay your power bill by credit card or online banking
  • Sign up for equalized and automatic payments
  • Go paperless!
  • Ask us questions
  • Get alerts when it's time to pay your bill or read your meter

We won't comment on bargaining details. But, we'll provide updates here as soon as they are available.
