BD3 Status Update: May 2022

During the month of May 2022, the carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station captured 68,885 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The average daily capture when CCS was online was 2,430 tonnes per day with a peak one-day capture of 2,736 tonnes. CCS and BD3 took a brief outage at the end of the month to address some small equipment issues and perform cleans on the packing in the absorber tower.
