  • International Association of Business Communicators (Canada − Silver Leaf Awards)
    • Silver Leaf Awards recognize business communication excellence in Canada. We earned an award for our smart meter pilot communications in 2019.
  • International Association of Business Communicators (Global – Gold Quill Awards)
    • Gold Quill Awards recognize business communication excellence globally. We earned an award for our smart meter pilot communications in 2019.
  • Utility Communicators International
    • This is North America’s oldest awards program for utility communicators. In 2019, we were awarded: Gold in the Employee Communications or Internal Campaign category — SaskPower Strategic Direction to 2030; Gold in the Safety Communications category — SaskPower Public Safety Campaign 2018; Silver in the Complete Campaign (Image or Branding) category —SaskPower’s Pasqua to Swift Transmission Line; Bronze in the Complete Campaign (Marketing) category — SaskPower’s Smart Meter Pilot.

  • United Way Regina Community Fundraiser Award (2018)
    • Recognition for successfully growing our campaign in total dollars raised and demonstrating growth in the areas of participation and average gift by employees.
  • United Way of Regina’s Spirit Award (2015)
    • Cecile Matysio won Outstanding Employee Campaign Co-ordinator in the large employer category.

    • SaskPower was selected for its efforts in promoting Indigenous procurement.

  • Canadian Society of Civil Engineering (2015)
    • Honoured former Regina Powerhouse as a historic site.

  • Edison Electric Institute Emergency Assistance Award (2019)
    • Edison Electric Institute presented SaskPower with its “Emergency Assistance Award” for its response efforts after a snow storm hit Manitoba in October. The award is given to recognize outstanding efforts to assist other electric companies with power restoration after service has been disrupted by severe weather conditions or other major incidents.
  • Project Management Institute, Regina/South Saskatchewan Chapter (2016)
    • SaskPower was recognized as an employer and supporter of the project management profession. PMI is the world’s leading project management organization with over 450,000 members around the globe.
  • Nipawin Oasis Community Centre award (2015)
    • Codie Sandypoint, an apprentice electrician in Nipawin, won an award that honoured her contributions to her community.
