SaskPower, IBEW reach New CBA

July 16, 2026

SaskPower and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2067 have reached a new collective bargaining agreement.

“We are incredibly grateful for the work of IBEW Local 2067 members who ensure that Saskatchewan residents have access to reliable and affordable power every day of the year," Minister Responsible for SaskPower Jeremy Harrison said. “Thank you to both bargaining teams from IBEW Local 2067 and SaskPower for their professionalism and commitment in reaching this agreement. The best agreements are reached at the bargaining table, and this agreement will provide certainty to in-scope IBEW employees and supports a strong, bright future for SaskPower."

The new three-year agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026, and includes general wage increases of 2% in each year of the agreement.

IBEW members approved a tentative agreement during a province-wide vote. The agreement was also approved by SaskPower's Executive and Board of Directors.

Members of the IBEW Local 2067 make up 45% of SaskPower’s workforce. They provide front-line operation and maintenance of SaskPower’s transmission, distribution, and generation functions. IBEW employees also play an important role in planning, logistics, and support functions across SaskPower.

The previous agreement expired Dec. 31, 2025.
