Our app uses passkeys for secure biometric login. To set it up, you must first make sure all of the following settings are enabled:
On iPhone:
- Face ID or Touch ID (Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Password Autofill)
- iCloud Keychain (Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Passwords > Sync this iPhone)
- AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys (Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords > AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys)
- AUTOFILL FROM: Passwords (Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords > Passwords)
After you’ve enabled all settings, you’ll need to log in to the app with your MySaskPower email and password. After logging in you will be asked to enable Face or Touch ID.
When prompted, choose to save a passkey and authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID. Your passkey will be securely stored in iCloud Keychain (or third-party password manager).
On Android:
- A screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or face recognition)
- A password manager like Google Password Manager or Samsung Wallet enabled (Settings > Passwords, passkeys and accounts)
For your first time, log in to the app with you’re MySaskPower email and password. After logging in you will be asked to enable Face or Touch ID.
When prompted, create a passkey and authenticate using your fingerprint or face recognition.
Once set up, you’ll be able to sign in quickly and securely from the login screen using your device’s biometric authentication—no password needed.

Once set up, you can select Log in with Face ID on your tablet, scan the QR code with your phone and use your Face ID. This will sign you in quickly and securely to the SaskPower app on your tablet screen using your device’s biometric authentication—no password needed.
You can add up to 25 locations with a few easy taps:
- From the Home screen, tap the “View Now” button under Outage MapSelect locate me icon in the bottom left corner of the map, search for an address, or scroll the map in to pinpoint a location.
- Select the “Add Area” button in the white bubble to confirm the area you’re adding.
- You will see a success message when the area has been added to your Outage Areas.
- Ensure your Outage Notifications are enabled by selecting the “Notifications” icon
- Select “Notification Preferences”
- Select “General Notifications”
- Look for Outage Notifications and check the boxes for the ways you want to be notified – Text, Email or App Alerts
- Select “Save”
You’ll get alert notifications for all outages in the areas you’ve selected. Your home or business may or may not be affected.
If you’ve selected an area in the app, you’ll get notifications for this area. This may or may not affect your house.
You still need to call us to report your power is out. Once we modernize the grid, it'll help us better pin point who's affected during an outage.
This could be because:
1) Our operators are diagnosing the problem. It could take 5 to 10 minutes to get an alert. We’re just making sure that the information we send you is right.
2) Your alert notifications are turned off. Check your phone and SaskPower App settings to make sure both are on.
3) Make sure your cellular data is turned on. This will help make sure you’re getting notifications.
4) If your house is near a border, it may be in a different area than your neighbours. Try selecting areas on the map that border your home. If you’re still having issues please Contact Us.
Our app is supported by Apple Maps for iPhone and Google Maps for Android. Because they don't support land locations, you'll have to switch it to GPS coordinates. You can use these sites to do this:
You can log out of the SaskPower App with a few simple steps:
- Select the “More” icon
- Select “Log out”
Informational notifications like outages will only show in the banner of your phone when received, the badge icon will clear after opening the app.
Yes, to submit a meter reading through the SaskPower App you must login. If you’d like to submit a meter reading without logging in, visit saskpower.com/meterreads.
- When you open the app, select “Log In”
- Select “Sign up now”
- Enter your email address into the field and tap “Send verification code”
- A code will be sent to your email inbox
- Enter the code into the Verification Code field and select “Verify Code”
- Select Continue
